Start this exciting ftour exploring famous attractions in the grandeur of colonial Kochi. From there, head for Muvattupuzha, which is the iconic point of confluence of the three rivers (or Thriveni Sangamam in Malayalam) - Thodupuzhayar, the Kaliyar and the Kothayar.

 

From there, visit the famous hill station, Munnar, often referred to as the ‘Kashmir of South India’ for its picturesque natural beauty and colder climates. Spend ample time exploring the iconic Tata Tea Factory & Museum and learn about the tea-making process. Enjoy the spectacular views from the famous Pothamedu View Point, memories of which will forever have a place in your memories. Your next point of attraction is Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary which is famous for the sighting of Nilgiri Tahr along with a wide variety of flora and fauna.

 

Next up is Alleppey. Enjoy cruising past the enchanting backwaters while you relax in your comfort on a beautiful houseboat. Spend the remaining days by the gorgeous Marari Beach. Itinerary

DAY 1: ARRIVE COCHIN (KOCHI)

Arrive at Cochin


DAY 2: COCHIN SIGHTSEEING

Meet your local guide and enjoy a private tour of colonial Cochin today. Visit St. Francis Church and the Santa Cruz Basilica, Mattancherry Palace, Jewish Synagogue, and Chinese Fishing Nets. The tour lasts for half a day and you can tailor the tour to your liking. For the remainder of the day, explore the colonial fort on foot or enjoy your time at the hotel. Overnight stay at the resort.


DAY 3: COCHIN TO MUVATTUPUZHA

Check-out from the hotel after 10:00 a.m. and head for Muvattupuzha, which is the meeting point of the three rivers Kaliyar, Thodupuzha, and Kothamangalam. Check-in at the boutique luxury resort. Overnight stay at the resort.


DAY 4: INDIAN SUMMER HOUSE MUVATTUPUZHA

Start your day with a relaxing yoga/meditation session given on the veranda. Next, head for a local area tour where you can experience up close the unique Muvattupuzha culture. Start by visiting the Toddy Shop and relish the fresh local palm along with freshly-tapped coconut toddy. Visit the Forest temple (a beautiful small Hindu temple) located near the resort.


Next, head back to the resort to enjoy a rejuvenating traditional massage. Also, enjoy henna application which is a special Indian tradition particularly followed during Indian weddings. In the afternoon, enjoy a sumptuous lunch at the resort. Get some rest relaxing alongside the pool area. In the evening, visit the local temple with Ammayee, an aunty who will help you explore the temple and share unique stories associated with it - a great opportunity to enjoy the region’s community spirit.

Return to the resort to relish a poolside barbeque. Overnight stay at the resort.


DAY 5: MUVATTUPUZHA - MUNNAR

Start with having a wholesome breakfast at the resort and then check out. Leave for Munnar around 8:45 hrs & will take around 3 hours. Reach Munnar around 11:30 am and head for the Tata Tea Factory and Museum in Munnar. Enjoy discovering the history of tea estates and the black tea-making process. View fascinating artefacts, including a 1913 sundial, a 1920s Pelton Wheel, and antique tea equipment. Also, experience a tea-tasting session featuring exotic global varieties.

Have your lunch and head for Pothamedu View Point to enjoy spectacular views of tea, coffee, and cardamom plantations. Once you’’re done with your full day of exploration, head to the Hill Resort in Munnar. Complete your check-in process around 3:00 pm. The remainder of the day is at leisure. Overnight stay at the resort


DAY 6: MUNNAR (SIGHTSEEING) - PERIYAR WILDLIFE SANCTUARY, THEKKADY

Relish a sumptuous breakfast at the resort and then check out. Visit the Rajamalai National Park where you can sight the endangered Nilgiri Tahr in its natural habitat.

(The park is closed from January 10th to March 15th) If it is closed, you can drive to Mattupetty for elephant spotting. If lucky, you may be able to see a herd of elephants grazing through the meadows. Next, you will be heading towards another tourist attraction i.e., Thekkady, which is famous for the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary. Explore diverse biodiversity and enjoy boating on the scenic Periyar Lake.

Further, head to the Jungle Resort and complete your check-in. The remainder of the day is at leisure. Overnight stay at the resort.


DAY 7: PERIYAR WILDLIFE SANCTUARY IN THEKKADY

Have your breakfast and take a drive to Thekkady to explore the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary. The place is famous for being a tiger reserve along with diverse flora and fauna along with being the ‘Spice Village of India’ because of its large fields of spices. Enjoy a leisurely boat ride on the river before checking into your resort, situated right on the fringe of the Periyar Game Preserve.

In the evening, enjoy a thrilling game drive sighting bison, deer, elephants, and elusive tigers as they wander through the tropical jungle. Overnight stay at the resort.


DAY 8: PERIYAR WILDLIFE SANCTUARY - ALLEPPEY BACKWATERS

Enjoy your breakfast at the hotel and get transferred via the jetty to board your houseboat where you will rest for the night. Enjoy cruising through the narrow lakes and famous canals on your way to Alleppey. Spend an unforgettable night where you’ll be anchored on a beautiful part of the lake which is surrounded by the swaying of palm trees setting a serene ambience. Overnight stay at the houseboat.


DAY 9: ALLEPPEY HOUSEBOAT TO MARARI BEACH

Check out of the hotel around 10:00 a.m. & depart for Marari Beach. Once you arrive, check in at Marari Beach around 2:00 pm. Enjoy relaxing on the beautiful golden sands dotted with coconut trees. Overnight stay at the resort.


DAY 10: MARARI BEACH

Enjoy another relaxing day at the Marari Beach. Start your day relishing an authentic breakfast at the resort and enjoy the day ahead. Explore the nearby village and have a cultural experience seeing how the locals live on the beach. Take a stroll around the beach or ride a bicycle to the markets. This being the final evening in Marari, enjoy the beauty of the sunset to the fullest. Overnight stay at the resort.

DAY 11: MARARI BEACH TO COCHIN INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

This is the final day of your Kerala holiday. Get transferred to the airport for your flight back home.
